• Check the listing's live status and the seller's last confirmation before driving.
• Bring small bills; most sales are cash-first.
• Respect early-arrival policies - sellers set them for a reason.
• Report closed, canceled, or misleading listings so others don't waste a trip.

Protected addresses

Each listing has an address setting. Some show the exact address right away. Others keep it protected until a set time: 24 hours before the sale opens, or about 3 hours before it opens on the first morning. Until then the listing shows the town and an approximate map area, with a countdown to the reveal. When the time comes, the exact address and directions appear on the listing.

For sellers

• Use timed address reveal if you prefer not to publish your address days in advance.
• Your sale shows as open during its posted hours; confirming it on the day is optional.
• Never include personal contact details in public photos or descriptions.
• Mark your sale canceled or closed early the moment plans change.

Reporting

Every listing has a Report action for inaccurate details, wrong addresses, cancellations, or suspicious activity. Reports go to our moderation team for review.

Professional verification

Estate-sale companies can request verification. The verified badge means we reviewed the company's identity and business details. See the company directory.
